# About Kaan Yagci

Kaan Yagci is a freelance software, AI and platform engineer, a Docker Captain, and a builder of developer tools. He has 10+ years of engineering experience and works with international teams remotely, in English.

## How Kaan works

Kaan works directly with CTOs, engineering leads and platform teams through architecture, implementation, deployment, operations and handover. Engagements can be a focused review, a defined delivery project or ongoing support. Scope, deliverables and responsibilities are agreed around the client's problem.

## Previous work

- Satelia · 2025–2026: GitLab to GitHub Actions migration, Terraform adoption, container security, release operations and production on-call. Docker Scout scores improved from F to A/B.
- Owkin · 2023–2024: Go orchestration work for Substra, Kubernetes Pod Security Policy migration to Pod Security Admission Restricted, and controlled network access for Jupyter workflows.
- Heywear: principal engineering across backend, mobile, web and production infrastructure.
- HARMAN / Samsung Bixby: intent-processing approach adopted by eleven international localization teams.

Kaan has particular experience in healthcare environments, Kubernetes, private networks, restricted egress, and hybrid or self-hosted infrastructure.
