How this website handles information.
This notice covers visits to kaanyagci.com and messages about consulting work. It explains what the site processes, why it is processed, and where third-party services become involved.
Website delivery
When you request a page, the hosting and network providers involved in delivering the site necessarily receive technical request information such as your IP address, requested URL, timestamp, browser or user-agent information, and network diagnostics. This information is used to deliver the site, maintain reliability, prevent abuse, and investigate operational problems.
The public website does not provide user accounts, accept payments, or ask you to submit personal information through an on-site form.
Site analytics
On kaanyagci.com, a small script initializes OpenPanel using an analytics endpoint at analytics.makepad.fr. It is configured to measure screen views, outgoing link activity, and explicitly marked page attributes. This helps show which public material is useful and whether navigation works as intended.
Analytics is not loaded when the same files are viewed on another hostname, including local development. Technical request and device information may be processed as part of analytics delivery. Do not use site URLs to transmit confidential or personal information.
Contact and scheduling
If you send an email, the message, addresses, headers, attachments, and any details you choose to include are processed so Kaan can understand and respond to your inquiry, keep an appropriate business record, and take steps requested before a possible engagement.
The booking link opens Google Calendar. Google processes information you submit there under its own terms and privacy notice. You can email instead if you do not want to use the booking service. Please do not send passwords, private keys, production datasets, health information, or other sensitive material in an initial inquiry.
External services
The site links to GitHub, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Substack, Google Calendar, Makepad, and project download pages. Following a link transfers you to that service, which can receive request information and apply its own privacy practices. A link does not give that service access to the content of an email you send separately.
Public machine-readable versions of site pages contain the same business information in Markdown so automated agents can retrieve it without client-side scripts.
Your choices
You can browse without contacting Kaan, avoid external links, or configure your browser and network tools to limit requests to analytics services. Depending on where you live and the circumstances, you may also have rights to ask about, correct, restrict, object to, or request deletion of personal information connected to an inquiry.
To make a privacy request, email hello@makepad.fr with “Privacy request” in the subject. Enough information may be requested to identify the relevant correspondence and verify that the request is legitimate.
Retention and changes
Information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including responding to an inquiry, operating and securing the site, maintaining necessary business records, and meeting legal obligations. Retention can vary with the nature of an engagement or request.
